About the speakers: Andrea Cordray and Rose Maddox, Career and Professional Development at UMW
Andrea Cordray currently serves as the Assistant Director for Career and Professional Development at the University of Mary Washington. Prior to joining the Career Center, she spent five years with the UMW College of Business (COB). During her time with the COB, she managed all communications, social media, events, development of new programming and career services. Andrea also worked with the development team for the School of Management at George Mason University and with the Lorton Arts Foundation/Workhouse Arts Center in Northern Virginia. She holds a BS in Psychology from Grand Valley State University and MA in Arts Management from George Mason University. She is passionate about the arts and currently serves on the boards of the Riverside Foundation for the Performing Arts and Women’s Leadership Colloquium @ UMW. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
Rose Maddox currently serves as the Operations & Employer Relations Manager for the Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD). Rose holds a bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She handles all employer relations/on campus recruiting and office management for the CCPD. Rose started working at UMW in 2011 and has served in a variety of roles. In her spare time, she enjoys playing piano, reading, and spending time with her husband and three year old daughter.
